High tides

Where did all this water come from. It's been at least a foot over flood for two days. It's not the wind. I didn't notice a full moon. Anyone know?

same here.........to the TOP of my bulkhead.....but not over......and the streets are flooded....WTF ?
 
came over my bulkhead yesterday. ironic part is i was just looking at pictures from last fall. 11/09/09 tide was up over the bulkhead. I'll be ready next year!
 
AYC was flooded yesterday & today. Water over the bulkheads on A, C, D, and F docks. I was working on my boat (on land) when a boat came by, not too much of a wake, but enough to breeze past the stands on my boat!!!
 
I was down at the AYC yesterday at 11 am, tide was already at the top of the bulkhead, in the mean time High Tide was not till 1pm.
 
Billy the weather guessers are saying it is from the storm we had a few days ago that is still sitting off montauk so it is from the wind.
 
We've had a lot of NE wind this week and as Louis said there's been a storm sitting to the east of Montauk. Should be finally clearing out this weekend.
 
I was down at the boat for high tide today. My property was flooded. I'm about two short blocks off of the bay. The street was flooded for the first three blocks off of the bay. I left the car a block or so north of the flooding, put the high rubber boots, on and walked through it to my boat. I wanted to change my belts and run the motors with the new belts before the boat comes out of the water, and I didn't want to put it off.
It was actually a perfect afternoon for working on the boat.
