I guess this was the wrong year to buy a new boat(nah!!!). Wouldn't you know it the wife and I finally pull the trigger on an awesome new boat the 2008 2400 and we can't take it out due to high water on the Mississippi. It'll be two more weeks....ugh!!!
 
Better too high than too low! Be patient or call Al Gore & complain!

Stop it. We still haven't been out boating yet this season. Only been out once and that was to take delivery. The river is so high now that we can't even get to the marina to dock boat. When is this nightmare going to end?
 
Cant win for loosing.Last year we had no rain and the locks were about to be restricted to barge traffic only.The low water made it difficult to beach in favorite locations,and water was stagnant.FYI,local man in Red wing launched his Large Searay,wanted to get out early,even with strong current and Debris.Needed to be pulled out a couple of hours later due to striking dead head.Now his summer is on hold.
You have to know when to holdem and know when to fold them in boating.You dont want to damage your new boat.

I should be down their thursday if their are no more component failures,module ,and joystick . I have your boat hook,I will put it in your trunk thursday.

Medic - thanks for the heads up on the bilge. You must have mentioned it to Nancy because when I got down there Friday night they were already on the boat and had found the leak. It was a small leak in the water to the AC unit. Thanks much for the heads up.

Liberty Call - yes it is. Nice to know there are some of us around.
