350 GM w/Holley 650 single pump
Ok, I finally got the bugger timed what seems to be good, did it by ear. Throttle response from 3k rpm to WOT is perfect, no backfire, very minimal hesitation. Not sure of the timing setting as at 3k rpm, the timing tab does not go past 16* BTDC.
New issue, the idle speed remains about 2k rpm. I back off on the idle adjustment screw, on the port side of the carb where the throttle cable connects and it does not go any slower.
The jet screw adjustments are about 3/4-turn from full in.
The electric choke is set ok.
I am not running significantly rich, as there is no smoke out the exhausts.
Any help would be appreciated.
