My friend just replaced his 7 yr old 30 Honda on an 18 ft Lund for a 50 HP Honda on a new 18 ft Lund which is slightly heavier but semi vee rather than the older flat hull. His usual trip is about 90 miles. The older unit always used about 7 gallons US a trip and the new one about 9 and a half with the same load and throttle. He wasn't expecting that much of an increase!
