Hoop nets for Catfish in rivers.

Any of you guys ever used a Hoop net for Catfish?
Which way does the Mouth of the NEt go?
Facing the water flow, or Open to the Upstream swimming fish?

I was looking up some stuff and came across the term 'Hoop net' and went to Google to see what's what!
Of all it said, it never said how to insert the thing. DUH!

Closed, baited end is upstream, larger, open end is fitted w/ float and pointed downstream. ( IE: they swim upstream through the larger end, toward the closed, baited upstream end. )

That's what I thought too. Who'd want Floatsum and Jetsum filling up the net if the open end was upstream.

I did find out that to use a Hoop Net in Alabama, I'd need a Commercial license.
I asked if my Alaska Commercial Halibut license would work.

Watching "Mud Catts" I got to thinking about a mystery.

Finding a guy's pickup near the river.
No sign of his body, foul play, etc. He's not using his credit cards. They are still in his wallat, left under the seat.

Month's later, the case has gone cold. The guy's forgotton.
Then some kid catches a HuGE Cat and in the stomach they find Teeth, a Ring and a belt buckle.
Now some 'authority' has to look for a missing person fitting some loose teeth in a Cat's mouth.

No Sir, I aint gittin down in there with em!
