How about using #boateredforums on Instagram?

Instagram is a social media site where you all you do is post and share pictures... It can't "break up" BE in anyway since you can't post pictures here.

Yes, photobucket is an alternative but lacks the interaction between users including th ability to view pictures from multiple users altogether. I thought its woudl be fun to have a single spot with boating related pics from various ROs.

It s a easy way to share and view picutres... Embedding pictures in threads is a pita, having to first put them on photobucket and then copy and paste the links... Few people end up posting pictures here.
 
Pascal, in a way it is a good thing that people don't post pics. Unfortunately most people can't be bothered to re-size their 10, 20 or 40 megapixel pics. Then any time we want to follow a thread, we have to scroll back & forth. Threads I would probably be interested in, when they have these over sized pics, I just skip them.

I carry a dumb flip phone because a smart phone wouldn't last a day cause I crawl around under cars, boats, and golf carts. I guess that leaves me out. However my plan is only $35 per month.

There are many social sites now, and I wonder what the difference is with Instagram? What makes it better than say Facebook?
 
I am by no means a facebooker but with face book I think you need to know the person and their handle /name to access the info.
 
To view pictures on Facebook you need to have a FB account and login. You don't with Instagram. Also Instagram lets you group all pics with hashtags whereas FB doesn't.
 
Ok, so I tried to register. It keeps telling me network errors. Not trying to diss it! But it will not let me register.

Edit:

The userid was not unique. I picked another and it let me in. Dumsh1t software on their end did not inform me the userid was already taken.

I am open to your idea, but agree there are so many venues for an old guy to keep up.
If I open an account on Instagram and post a picture, can it be referenced via a URL even if I don't add the hashtag reference.
Also I thought I understood than anyone can see the pictures not just friends as on Face book.
Since this is free, how is the site funded? annoying adds? Can I join and post from my laptop?
