How has it been out at Watch Hill?

1) how is the bugs?
2) how is the new returant?
3) should I just walk to the casino instead for dinner?
4) chance of getting a slip friday morning for a 10' beam?

He meant walk to the Casino at Davis Park as opposed to eating at WH. Sorry, but I have yet to visit WH this season so can't comment. I'm sure someone else will give the scoop. But if I recall getting a slip Friday morn for your beam shouldn't be much of issue. You can also call and make reservation.

We were there the weekend of June 23rd. The bugs weren't bad, but there were some around. People docked next to us said they got bit a lot on the walk back from Davis Park. That weekend you could have had any size slip you wanted, but that was the big graduation party weekend so it sounded like a lot of people had to put off boating plans. Now with the kids out of school I'm sure it's busier. In general though a 10' beam on a Friday morning shouldn't be a problem.

We didn't try the restaurant but heard it was pretty good.

We took the boat over for Dinner Saturday night. The food was very good, everyone seemed to enjoy what they had from Salmon to pasta to burgers.

Service was a little slow but not a problem. Bugs depend alot on the wind. When we pulled in Sat with a south wind the green heads were out in full force by the pump out.

I am gonna be real honest about the resturant at WH. The food was good , not great, the service was poor. The prices were ok, not cheap, not an arm and a leg.

With that said:

Service is done with some young kids, that are real nice, they are trying real hard and I think will get better. If they don't I don't care because they are sweet and try their best.
The prices are in line (actually better) for FI.
Anything I ordered was pretty good, different but good.
Having this place is priceless........

Overall I like it and am happy that it exists, if your looking for WOW, then this is not the place.
