I sure hope Bob doesn't read this!!!!

Last August 2006 I purchased my first boat since getting rid of my 20 foot Hobie cat back in 1999.

She was a very well kept 1994 Sea Ray 270 Sundancer 27 foot...Put 50 hours on her between August and April...

Traded up for a 1999 Regal 292 Commodore, our present "Baby Gator".

Simply no comparison.

We looked at a 2001 Sea Ray 280 'Dancer but the Sea Ray dealer had the '99 Regal 292 with my name all over it.

I almost bought a 2000 2760 from the Regal dealer 2 years ago, but it was just out of my price range...when Sea Ray offered me a heck of a trade, we jumped at the opportunity.

Since making the jump to Regal, we couldn't be happier! Fit, Finish, Styling, Features...All top notch compared to the local competition - Sea Ray, Larson, Rinker, Bayliner, Maxum are all the main local brands besides Regal.

Then I found you guys...so when the wife doesn't want to go out on the water, I can still relax with my time!

Bob's lost in the breakwater...with an extra set of 28" props. Gotta love him though, with all his thingy's, he takes the abuse well!

I think we did ok moving up to a Regal. Not that I have anything against Sea Ray; actually mechanically the '94 Dancer was in much better shape than the 92 hour '99 292 we bought...we've had to pour a good bit into it to bring her up to snuff mechanically as many on here have heard. :)

Enjoy!

Did some one mention Rinker & Bayliner in the same sentence w/ Regal. I thought this thread would have people that actually knew something about boats.
I have had a few Whalers a Grady and a Tiara. Just bought a 08 Regal 3760, it's a step down in Quality from the Tiara but w/ 420hp IOs it is alot more fun. Doesn't fish as well but thats not the prioriy it once was.

I suppose I have to weigh in since Rommer is counting. I have owned a 94 233. That was our first cruiser which we purchased after our house boating group broke-up. We found we liked getting away from everything on the water. So a cruiser was the logical choice. Then in 1996 Regal came out with the 292. We wanted one and it took another 2 years to buy the new 292. We still have it and tow it to many exciting places. I have been thinking about a bigger Regal, the 3360 but I would really like the 3760. Either way, I would need a bigger truck to pull either one and my wife says no new truck! So we will keep the 292 which has been a fantastic boat for the size.

I realize this has been a topic for quite a while, however I just bought my 1st Regal. I looked at virtually everything on the market and decided on a 4460 with IPS. Cant wait til spring. This will be my wifes and I 14th boat in the last 26 yrs. From what I can see it will match up to most anything on the production line.

Cant wait!

We have a 2004 3560/3760 now for sale. Also has warranty till 2010.WE have loved the boat but haved moved up to a larger size. This was my third Regal...great boats

First boat was a 2004 Regal 2460. Had it two months and loved it so much we boat a 2007 3060. Loving it.

The Goat Locker

Regal 3060

Excellent choice Jose! The 3880 is a fantastic boat.

My first boat was a Bayliner 2655 which I had for a couple years. I then bought my 95 Regal 322 in 2003 and couldn't be happier. I've considered moving up (newer, bigger) many times, but haven't done so.....yet. Last year I added an extended swim platform and it's been the best upgrade I could ever imagine.

Here she is...
