How not to leave the dock!

A twofer! "Best happy hour ever". I wonder if it was a mechanical failure.
 
Unless there was some kind of mechanical mishap (which can happen), somebody is out of a job today.
 
Didn't appear that the boat in front was even tied off. I would imagine that reduced the damage
 
Looks like an engine control failure which is not un common. Lines on th other boat probably failed. Not much the captain could have done at that point... too late to drop anchor Only thing is that it looks lie he was coming in faster that the speed you want to hit something...
 
I believe he was leaving and was heard yelling he had no control just before the hit.
 
A comprehensive Pre-departure check is required for a reason
