Hey there, I just recently inhereted a '89 Sea Ray 160, and I'm having the engine rebuilt. A friend suggested that as long as the engine is out that I check the gimble bearing. I've looked around back in the bell housing, but dont see anything. Can anyone tell me if its possible to inspect the gimble bearing without removing the stern drive? I'm also interested in lubing the u-joints as well, will the zirc fittings on the stern drive hit the u-joints?
'sure appreciate it!!
