There's a beach on the west coast of India where they beach ships to dismantle them, it's been in operation for many years and ships come from all over to be salvaged. Very dangerous working conditions at the facility.

I wish I could know what the men in the yard were saying. Everyone acted as if they were surprised. Not sure if they were saying "good job or holy crap"!
 
I thought he was just trying to put out that fire on the shore. I think I saw that on Myth-busters.
 
Ship breaking is big business in India and Bangladesh. That's where some of our junkers from the NDRF (James River, Galveston, Suisun Bay) go for burial.

This guy had a good tide. Frequently, the ships have to be hauled to the beach with chains and tractors.
 
should have dropped the anchor just for good measure.
 
That video is from a ship breaking yard in Turkey and not from India or Bangladesh. The ship,"Ostend Spirit", took two tries at the beach...The second one was the one in the video.
