Huge Thank you to Waves and Wheels

I need to move up north. You boys sure have nice decorations at your parties. Never heard of a shot girl before.

On another thought ... anyone know where I can get fuel delivered to my boat?

Rob

I've used Rob from Marine Fuel Direct (631-467-2145)several times and have always been satisfied. His stuff is fresh in the trunk from the terminal just about every day. Price is usually better than on the water too.
Not sure if your marina will let him come in or not though. You can always call and ask him. He seems to be all over Long Island and should be able to tell you.
I'd be a little hesitant to buy on the water this early in the season. There is a good chance that the stuff has been sitting in those tanks for months now.

Rob from Direct Marine Fuel is a great guy. If the AYC would allow him in I would use him in a heartbeat. GREAT GUY!!!

In case you did not know, great detailing company is Waves and Wheels, think Don has there number :)

Gene from Rising Tide is also a great guy, and tends to cover western Nassau more than the other two outfits on LI that do this, so you might consider him too.

From time to time I also use Gene from Rising Tide. I first was considering Direct Marine. But some members at the LIYC was using Rising and when I went over to Babylon Marine they were also but there I have no choice.

Andy, do I detect a bit of poor experience with Babylon Marine ? I have to admit that I have heard good and bad stories about Babylon Marine. In my case I have always had good dealings with Charlie and staff. He has a bunch of very loyal customers who keep their boat there, and there must be a reason for that.

But if you are expecting a BS all smiles owner who will yes a customer to death, this is the wrong place. He can be a bit gruff, but if you get to know him, you will find him to be a straight shooter and fair. However, he first takes care of his dock customers before outsiders.

I still have all 11 of my fingers... ;)

I will also give a thumbs up to Gene at Rising Tide. 3 or 4 boat and I used him last summer. Cumulative discounts based on volume delivered to all of us in the same trip.

I have heard good things about Rising Tide as well, Direct Marine fuel gives a discount to BE members, Rob is a member here so maybe he will chime in. Those that know the owner of Rising Tide should tell him to join BE.

I have had great experiences with Charlie fro C&D Marine in Copiague. Very fair price, always says what he says he will do, super clean on your boat and very knowledgeable. His wife works the office and she is a pleasure to deal with. I hope he can work on diesel :)

So lets back up for a second. Admiralty posts his lil hissy fit and doesn't acknowledge the reply's to his post.

That's messed up. If ur going to bitch ,man up and stick around for the rebuttal !

Rob

Brad,
You missed your calling in life, you should have been a detective :)

Can any of you guys recommend a good detailer on Suffolk's north shore? Will Waves and Wheels come out this way? I'm in Mt Sinai.
Thanks.
