Got a Volvo Penta with SX drive on a 2004 Chaparral 204ssi.

I've been told that one should always listen for any clanking or clunking sounds coming from the outdrive with the steering wheel turned all the way to either side at idle speed to detect any drive damage or problems.

While I do not notice any clanking or clunking sounds, I do notice a minor vibration and humming sound when the steering wheel is turned all the way to either side. Sounds like a "whoom whoom whoom" sound. Wouldn't say its too loud, but noticeable when listening for it. Was wondering if this is somewhat normal or something I should be concerned about?
