Hurricane Sandy Preparations.

I can't imagine how much crap will flow into the bay from the Conowingo dam with this storm!!! Hopefully, it will all wash out of the bay by spring. Towns of Havre De Grace and Port Deposit will need to keep an eye on this problem since many of the dam gates will be open again to save the dam.

With still no rain and not much wind, I am a bit dissappointed that we stayed at the dock this weekend which was likely our last weekend of boating. We did get a lot of stuff cleaned off the boat and a few chores done. All in a good weekend. Still..... Unless my wife by some slim chance gets another weekend off before December. On the other hand, if it is like last winter we may still get out in December.

We're getting on and off showers on the eastern shore. Storm surge predictions have me confused. I thought the western shore would have the flood problem but now I'm seeing predictions that it will be the eastern shore.

This is going to be a blow-out tide event.

Just checked the creek and our dock. Looks like a normal high tide so far.
