If you have a choice, which one?.

Can it be add on if not listed as optional equipment?.

My old 17 footer was equipped with hydraulic steering and it was hard to turn with one hand while other hand is on throttle/trim/taps. My current 21footer equipped with power sterring and it was days and nights. I can turn it with one finger.

We did a sea trial on the 34 footer Meridian that equipped with hydraulic and I have a little difficulty turning the boat around at speed, I also did a sea trial on the older model 34footer Silverton which has hydraulic and the feeling is the same, I then ride the 34 footer SeaRay which has power steering and it's totally different, one hand smoothly turning the boat around in smaller radius.

How do you owners of that size of boat that equipped with hydraulic steering handle your boat while turning at speed?.

Overall, we like the Silverton best but the wife has one heck of a time try to turn the boat around and if without my help, she won't make it without bring the boat down to almost stop then turns. BTW, she's only 5'tall and about 100lbs with couple of layers soaking wet.
