hydrofoil stabilizer~~~good or bad~~~

another question from a somewhat newbie to you more experianced boaters.

I am looking at adding a hydrofoil stabilizer to my yamaha sterdrive tomorrow. but want some input first from all of you that can offer.

1) are they durable
2)do they cause any handeling problems(low speed/high speed, trimming drive)
3)If ever removed do you then have problems because of the holes that were drilled
4)cavitation????
