Need to know if this is normal or not.
this is the first boat I owned with hynautic shifting, I was changing out fluids in transmissions today and filters. I have had low pressure reading on my gauge on port tranny so I put the port shifter in gear to make sure that the cable was not obstructing the shift gear linkage from fully opening. well I forgot to put it back to neutral when I started the motor to check for filter leaks.
# 1 it started, and since in gear it began to move.
I quiclkly put it back into neutral so I could go inspect for leaks and level .
But I thought there was a built in safety feature so this could not happen.
Dumb me forgot to check on starboard side to see if same would happen. Anyone know if this is normal or not with Hynautic?
