I always get a kick out watching the sounder…

…when getting from the Tongue of the Ocean to the Exuma bank south of Nassau. The Tongue averages 6000’ deep in the middle of the Bahamas and when getting on the Bank depth go from over 2000’ to 20’ in less than a mile.

This spot, about 6 miles south of Nassau West End has a shelf halfway up with a trench.

It's fun going over coral heads as well.

They are well charted and easy to avoid. We have done thousands of miles at night on the banks with no issue
