well, not really but I'm getting close. For the past several years, off and on again, I have been trying to sell my 1976 Silverton. Finally after 2 runs on eBay, got a buyer who left me a deposit on Dec 18 and came yesterday to make the final, have a sea trial to the marina to fill the gas tank (at his expense) and transfer title. We made it the marina fine but when we got ready to leave the one engine was hard to start. I had forewarned him of the need for a new battery which he purchase and I installed. We got her started again and I noticed a slight delay in getting the starboard engine into gear. We got back to my home dock, tied her up, went for dinner together, and then back to the house where he made out the check, we signed the BoS but not the title, and he and his wife went home, all of us Happy. A little late I went out to check the boat, plug in the shore power, and give it a quick start to check the batteries. She started up fine so I thought I'd check that delay in the tranny. Sure enough, NOTHING. Not a cable problem. So now it looks like I refunding his money plus the cost of 150 gallons of gas and a new battery and will have to get the transmission fixed and start all over again. I do HATE BOATS!
