Just saw this old dancer cruise by, powered a pair of big Yamahas. I really hope they reinforced the swim platform although I could not see any special brackets added from that angle.

We considered doing this with our Luhrs when we had significant issues with one of the Yanmar diesels but the cost to rebuild the transom added to the cost of the motors just didn't make sense. I had grown tired of crawling around in the crowded engine compartment.

They actually have brackets now that fit into the stern drive hole. I think you are going to see a lot more conversions. If I had to re-power I would seriously consider it.
