I have a model 85 Raritan ice maker that keeps nice and cold, but does not make ice (no water). I replaced the pump, still no water. Also the ice tray is yukky too, so instead of getting into a piece by piece replacement, does anyone know where the unit could be sent to be refurbished? THANKS!

It'd be best to return it to the factory in Millville, NJ. This time of year however, I wouldn't expect to get it back for at least a few weeks. Call (800) 352-5630, extension 236, then make arrangements with Jerry in the Repair Shop. Millville, NJ is about an hour's drive from the Delaware Memorial Bridge - total driving time from Annapolis is about 2 1/2 hours.

If the ice tray is "yucky," - I'm guessing that the epoxy lining from the mold is coming off - which will require that the mold itself, be replaced; this is best done at the factory. If the epoxy lining is coming off, it is caused by winterizing the machine with pink anti-freeze. Anti-freeze (of any kind) should never be run into the ice machine. It should only be winterized dry.

Great, now I hear this? I've been using the pink stuff for years. My Freezer & Ice Maker are Sub-Zero brand does that make any difference?

Thanks for the feedback. I work up in NJ off exit 4 cple times a week so no problem to drop off.

Art, I can't speak for Sub-Zero, but it shouldn't be used in Raritan or U-Line icemakers.

Happy to report that I picked up my repaired ice maker from Raritan in Millville, NJ, installed it and works like a charm. Very friendly people and they fixed it when they said they would! Very reasonable price.....
