Yeah but with all That damage I doubt it stayed afloat for long.

That video doesn’t show it, but there were a few Motor Lifeboats on-scene, too, both from the National Motor Lifeboat School and Station Cape Disappointment. It’s probably just that guys dumb luck that he did what he did right where and when both a Surfman and an Advanced Helicopter Rescue Swimmer class were out there on the last day of their respective classes.
