Every cloud has a silver lining, even if you have to make it yourself....
Most of you on here probably don't remember me, excepts arks (how can you forget someone that you helped to completely re-floor their cabin?), but regardless I will be back on the bay this summer. This time though, it will not be all party and drinking, I will have the little one (2 1/2 in April!!!) in tow. Just to give you all an idea of how long it has been, she wasn't even a twinkle in my eye, that last time "Color Blind" was wet.
My Dad passed away on MLK day, and I swore then and there, that I would not miss ANOTHER summer of the bay. Never was there a man that loved the water, more than my dad; I come a close second though.
Openining (or is that untarping) ceremonies will start next, or the following weekend. The 4 year layup will show just how good my winterizing skills are. I am not too worried. She sat in my uncle's yard, uncovered, for 7 years before I bought her. It's gonna take some elbow grease and a lot of spray-nine and compound before she is right again, but god-willing, she will have the water of the bay in her gelcoat pores, less than 3 months from now.
Cheers!!!!
