Pulled the boat today. There's nothing quite like being there when your boat is pulled, fully responsible for where the slings go, putting it into the slings, setting the blocking and stands, etc.

I was nervous as heck but it got done! The wind was bursty and I had the hardest time ever getting out of my slip...what timing! Just need to flush the engines with antifreeze and call in the shrink wrapper.

Sorry Chris, really hate to hear the bad news....Guess its almost time for the count down clock...

I also closed ours up today, although I won't be there to see it pulled.

Sad day.

Pete, our condolences on the boat. Not so sure about that team of yours though.

Butch;

Thanks for the good thought, but what's wrong with my team?

I hate this time of year. This year is extra hard being I have only had this boat for about a month I guess soon we will all being looking forward to Spring. May we all have a short and healthy winter.

Sorry to hear it coming so fast this year. Have a good winter folks.

Sounds like Dan will be smiling all the way down south as we freeze!!!!

Pete, so far it does not seem like there is any thing wrong with them, Game 7 tells all...Good Luck....

Well, I guess a lot of folks will get really grumpy in NBR now that their boats are being put away for the winter. A skipper without a boat is a disgruntled skipper for sure!

We were on the boat for awhile yesterday after a day of apple picking in New Paltz. We froze our butts off, but what the Hell. At least we were afloat...

My friend in NH just put the old shrinkwrap i did for him before i moved. this is the 6th time the plastic has been put on his boat now [:-boggled]

Sorry to hear the news Chris, but it's getting late and getting colder.

Lucky for me, striper season is just starting and I pulled in a nice 34" today, dinner was excellent!!!

Not pulling my CC until December. Another 4-5 weeks to go.

Not exactly John. Everytime we turn around the weather turns sour. For the last two days Freedom has had her lines strung out like banjo strings since she was broadside to the north wind. Last night the boat finally settled against the dock for the first time since we pulled in here.
Md. has frost/freeze warnings up all over the place as well as you folks do.
But it's slowly getting better.

So this bout of cold weather is your fault then? :)

Stripers are in the East River and NY Harbor.

Also down in Raritan Bay.

Justa Little Bit Longer is at her winter home in Stony Point - we are going to pull the little one today before the cold sets in for good and its too miserable to do anything! Changed Oil, washed and polished the topsides - winterized all water systems, except ice maker which has to run - Washed and polished and put away all isenglass, and put the mooring cover on. Only thing left is to winterize engines and have the yard to the outdrive service. Sad, but its good to have most of the work out of the way.

I guess it is John! But today the Cheasapeake was calm and we made it down to Pt. Lookout. A great place to anchor but we are tied up (doh).
