Question about Volvo Penta 4.3GL impeller.
We took apart the impeeler this weekend and found that it was trashed. Not 100% sure opf the cause. However, we found that althought the unit had an O-ring the sealant ring was missing. The replacement kit did not include a sealant ring either. The book displayed that one should be on the shaft.
Could not having a sealant ring caused the impeeler to become unstable and overheat?
Any thoughts?
