I'm investigating changing marinas next season and am looking at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. A couple of the marinas I'm looking at quoted me prices for the entire year where my boat would stay in the water all year, even throughout winter. They have bubbler systems and have staff there 24X7X365. What are the current thoughts about doing this? Can I winterize my engines while in the water? How would I go about getting my tarp to stay on (couldn't run tie-downs under the hull)?
I know I would need to haul, power wash, block, paint, and relaunch each year and I've already researched the price of doing that. I'm concerned about growth on the bottom since she'll be in the water much longer than before.
I have a Bayliner 305 express cruiser with twin Mercruiser 5.7L and Bravo II outdrives. All opinions, recommendations, and advice definitely welcomed (I need to decide by the middle of September). Thanks in advance.
