I just launched the new Mercury 270 inflatable today. It is the white PVC model.
What should I do to help preserve it? I am in the NorthEast. I stowed the dinghy on the bow of the boat when we left to keep it out of the saltwater. i will probably be installing davits this year.

Can I use 303 on the dinghy to keep it looing nice and preserve the PVC?

Scott: We have a white dink, and have used 303 since we have had it. I'm sure you are aware to get the vinyl 202 and not the fabric protector. I inherited another one that was pretty dirty, and used a dingy cleaner I got from Scalise marine in Fla., I think it was a Mermaid product, and it did wonders for cleaning!!

Thanks Dusty, I figured 303 would work well. That stuff is great!

Glad to see 303 on the "approved" list. We love it for our hypalon whitewater raft, which looks like brand new, even though it is about 8 or 10 years old! Last weekend I used 303 cleaner and protectant on our bimini and tonneau covers, and they looked great. I also used them on all the vinyl seats and trim in the flying bridge. The boat looks fantastic and I am confidant it will stay that way.

Hmm, I checked my manual and it states to not use vinyl preservatives on the inflatbale. I have the PVC version. Has anyone else used the 303 vinyl protectant on their PVC dink?
