We have a ZODIAC and as we get older it is getting harder to use the foot pump you get with it.Is anyone using and electric air pump for their inflatable?

I use a small shop vac to inflate mine most of the way. I then use the foot pump to finish it off. Works great and only takes me about 10 minutes total.

Ditto.......I did the same thing with my regular shop vac

I picked up one from Wall Mart that takes about 5 minutes to fill it up - not hard, but about 90% of the work is done. It is a 12 volt centrifugal blower type (not a piston type). I finish up with the pumps built into the bow tubes. Believe I paid about $25 for the pump a couple of years ago.

I use a rechargeable air mattress pump (also from Wal Mart). It recharges from AC or DC voltage and works very well. It can be used to inflate or deflate the dink. Only a few pumps with my bellows are needed to firm up the tubes after using the air pump.
It's also fairly small - about the size of a softball.

Bravo turbo , availabe at that marine store from the west. Two stage pump, turbine then compressor for high pressure. About 200 bucks, absolutley love it.

DITTO!!!!

Especially if you have an air floor. Makes it feel rock hard.

I tried to get mine from boatfix but since they didn't carry them I don't have to "defender" my decision!

I am thinking of purchasing the Bravo 12 HPP which will pump to 11.7lbs. Is this pump noisy during operation and does it work well?

Yes & Yes

The pump make a high pitch sound when its pumping volume and it then becomes more of a low pitch thumping when it shifts to pumping high pressure
It’s noisy it’s but nothing I thought of as a problem

That's exactly what I need - something that can do 3.5psi for the tubes and at least 11.5 for the air floor. Don't like using a medium pressure air service source (read big shop compressor), as the guage I have rigges isn't very accurate in the range where it matters. Would love something 12V that can hit, say, 15PSI, can tell me what's 3.5 and what's 11.5 with reasonable accuracy, and is available through BoatFix.

Les, Pike, got a link for me?

We have the Scoprega Bravo 12 dual pressure pump for the air floor boat and it works well. We also have a LVM high speed 12 volt pump which I have owned for over 35 years, and it has never faltered! The former costs about $265 and the latter $150--both were about half that much when we bought them.... but quality products do the job well, and last a lifetime.
