I've got the older Taylor inflatable fenders, where the fill port is recessed inside a flush-mounted screw cap. Has anybody figured a way to use a regular air pump (bicyle, compressor) and needle? I can get the needle in, but the port is recessed so deep that the air pump won't clamp onto it.
I know I can buy the handpump with the extension tube and needle. I'm trying to avoid this, as I've somehow managed to collect 3 bicycle pumps and two 12V compressors, and have at least a half-dozen inflation needles around. And I think I've still got a bicycle frame-mount pump somewhere.
