What are the common methods of communications on large reservoir systems and rivers and such. Am trying to figure out what to purchase for emergency communications. Am willing to make the investment, and will probably invest in the top two kinds if you'll tell me what they are?
I have a need; am handicapped, and a heart patient and would like some method of getting attention if stranded. No I dont go out by myself, but the wife has already had a heart attack also.
Have fished several places now that I lost cell service just before actually ariving at the launch. I will ask what if any kind of communication they may have, but would appreciate a reply. I cant tell from one or two places what the most common method might be. I do realize that I have to have what the majority of marinas or fish camps might use.
Or dont they use anything???
