I never thought I'd be getting a new boat, but I inked a deal for a new boat yesterday - hooray for me! I got a new Sea Ray 270 Amberjack.

So now the hard(er) stuff starts: picking insurance, delivering my trade-in, scheduling delivery of new boat, and the pre-delivery inspection.

Having never had a new boat before, what should I be looking for on my pre-delivery inspection? I figure there are some obvious things such as does it have all the equipment specified, do all the door close and latch, no broken gauges, etc. But what else should I look for? Does anyone have a check list to follow?

yes indeed - you shouldn't be looking for problems, your surveyor should. Don't ever buy a boat for over $5K without a professional survey.
