Well, we had an incident on the boat last weekend that convinced me that our older ('92) boat needed a kill switch. Basically, my wife was bringing the boat back to the ramp, she hit some monster wake on the open river. The large wake imbalanced my wife at the helm and she fell on the throttle stick. Full throttle + monster wake = boat launch! Wife rolled to the back of the boat while the daughter was terrified!

Ok, that is the story - here is my question. The kill switch I purchased has 4 connections on the back of it. Two that say coil and two that say magneto. It is a universal kill switch.

Wouldn't I just splice it into the ignition wire going to the boat key switch? There is no wiring diagram or instructions - so help from those that have done this would be very helpful.
