Insurance Discount

I received my Captains license this summer. Finally got around to calling my insurance company to inform them, thinking I would get a small
discount. They said it makes no difference because I already have the safe boating course discount. The agent wanted me send in a copy of my license
for her records. My question is, should I send her a copy? If there is no benefit to me, why have it on file? What is everyone thoughts?

Not every carrier offers a discount for a captains license. Don’t hurt for them to have a copy on file but not necessary. I don’t ask my clients for their license when there is no discount
