Does anyone have a source or know who manufacturers those recessed halogen puck lights that are on many 1990s era Carvers?

My 1999 Four Winns cruiser had the same lights, so they seemed to be popular a few years ago.

I have about a dozen of them in my boat, and the light sockets on a couple of them are not making good contact. And the cover won't go back on very well on another.

I am slowly upgrading the G4 halogen bulbs with LED G4 replacements, but I am finding that some of the covers are cracked, and they won't stay on.

Aw,

What a great idea changing those hot halogens to LED. The heat generated by them always concerns me. Sorry I can't help you with replacement parts but someone has to have some info.

Not sure if mine are recessed or not. Will check this weekend. The back of my manual has a complete parts listing. Halogen w/ Lens (qty 14) is part number 6417800. doesn't say who the manufacturer is, though.

mine were flush mounted. i bought complete sets of six at home depot and just usded the lamp fixtures.

The Power and Motoryacht magazine had a good write up in this months edition on replacing halogen with LED lighting. Pictures, step by step and reference to some suppliers.....

On my Carver, the lights are, in fact, Hera, when you pull the decor ring off, or should I say, WHEN the decor rings falls off (LOL) it says "Hera" on the backside.
