This happed one last year, today it drove me crazy...
Mercruiser 4.3 LX w/4bbl. Motor runs fine than just slows way down and dies. Start it up, runs for 30 seconds or slow, then dies. Can start and apply throttle, same thing - runs about 30 seconds, then dies. Then it will run fine. Today, it acted up for about 15 minutes than I got about 2 hrs of cruising. Toward the end of the day, started again. The fuel/water seperator was changed. I changed fuel tanks to r/o a vacuum issue.
Can a fuel pump malfunction intermittently? Could this be sticky floats?
