Hi'yall, I have a 1981 26' Sea Ray with a 350 Alpha drive and am having problems trying to find an interrupt switch for this models. Can anyone offer any suggestions. Many thanks ...Dave
If I remember correctly the interrupt switch should be on just above the right side of the engine. It will be located on the bracket where the shift cable attaches to the engine.
Ain't no biggie. One opens the primary ignition circuit and the other grounds it. You can make either one work if you know the slightest about electrical circuitry...or you can rebuild the one you have. I've done a half dozen or more.
I think your asking "where to purchase the switch"? The exact switch isn't sold anymore but a newer version can be found anywhere you buy electronic parts. You might try McMaster Carr or Radio Shack but look online other wise you'll be driving all over the place. I replaced them on a 1988 Searay but I bought the whole updated shift plate assembly.
