We used to boat the Hudson 1987 through 2008 when we took the boat South and started Wintering in the Bahamas. Well that got old and we finally sold Freedom in Dec. of 2016. Now we are in an RV but get out and boat once in a while. The S.O. misses the boat so we could get back into one again. We always planned one more trip to the Exumas and it may yet happen once the pandemic settles down etc.. This is a shot of Freedom docked at Seaspray on Elbow Cay in 2016. Elbow Cay was hammered by Dorian and the marina is gone along with so much. We were fortunate to enjoy the years we did there.

Still here and still living aboard. Bayliner 3988 1997 which I live on year round.
I develop and market waterfront properties and design and act as prime contractor for Marina dock systems.
This is one of the projects behind the boat. I will be moving about 40 miles east of here in a few months for a new project.

Used to live in Fort Lauderdale and cruise around on a 28' Slickcraft cruiser. We sold her when we moved back north. Now living in the sticks of New Hampshire, boating lakes and some of the seacoast in a 185 Edgewater we bought last year to get back on the water. Looking to upgrade to something a big bigger in the next couple of years to get further offshore.

I need to get some pictures - currently own a 99 Wellcraft Excalibur bowrider, which I bought new in 99. Generally boat in the upper Chesapeake eastern shore in May and June, and Jersey Shore ( Avalon) in July and August. To keep busy during the covid lockdowns, I bought ( sort of acquired) a somewhat abandoned 1977 Sabre 28 Sailboat. Hope to have her in the water sometime this summer, but still have a lot of work to do.
Over the years of Boatered I've had a 30' Pacemaker, a 21' American Skier, and a 40' Jersey Sportfisherman.
I think my kids have lost interest in boating ( or more likely interest in spending weekends with us) as they've suddenly hit their teenage years. Probably means you'll see me out there by myself now!

Boy, feels like a flashback! I've been around, off and on, for over 21 years now. Learned a ton here and many of you will remember my long posts trying to figure things out. Not much has changed, just the boat. But I know a ton more now, but still like to learn. I've had about 4 boats before what I have now, and am happy to say I've actually had my current boat the longest. I currently have a 35' Viking Convertible slipped in Newburyport, MA. Brian has visited and been on the boat, but couldn't stick around long enough to lift a cold one. Next time. The main boat is paired up with our water shuttle, a 12' Mercury RIB. Pretty much all my boating is on the east coast of New England.

Been boatless for the past almost 7 years. Got to an age and physical being that just could no longer keep up with a boat. Last boat was a Pursuit 3100. Very nice fishing boat. When I sold it i was even having some problems boarding let alone getting down in engine compartment to work.
Retired from USAF after almost 23 years on 1 Feb 1982. Did space work and engineering while in service. Then bought Feed & Seed store(my wife joked that I was the only Nuclear Engineering Feed Store owner) and sold that in 1998 and completely retired. Boating and golf were good up until 2013 when sold Pursuit. Continued golf as, even though play was not very good, as riding around in cart does not require too much effort. Just get into my cart in the garage and motor to course.

Been a RO for too many years, and a lifetime boater. Spent some time on subs in the Navy, and now volunteer w/ the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. I've learned a lot from this site, and hope we can continue to share sea stories, tips, and local knowledge!

Still hanging around. Cruising area; Cape Coral, Keys, Bahamas. RV summers; Try to get to Alaska for the summer every other year. I love the new site.

Been here longer than I can remember. We have a 440 Trojan Express and a 175 Scout Sportfish. Boat out of Haverstraw Marina, and usually take a 2+ week out to eastern Long Island and Block Island. Still working as a General counsel and compliance officer for a nursing home company, the Admiral is a court reporter. As soon as she is ready to retire, we are moving down south.

Been around here for quite a while. Followed George and Les over from that other site back in the last century, I think. I have been through 4-5 boats while here. Currently very happy with my 1996 Pro Line 231 Walkaround with a 2006 250 ETEC hanging off the bracket.
I have been in the aviation industry since I was 20. Currently in my 35th year at Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA, my home town.

Well damn, don't know if I can remember back that far. 
I've been a BoaterEd member since the early days.
I've been boating since about the early 60's. Had my own about 1972, a North American 18'. Graduated to a 1978 Wellcraft 210 Nova XL that I had until 2000 when I bought my present 2000 Regal Commodore 2660. All the while, I got bored with small lakes in my high school & college days and tried Lake Michigan. I've been boating the big water ever since.
The years are catching up on me, but after having 2 separate cancers in the last 2 years and kicking both their a$$'s, I'm ready to hit the big lake once again this spring. I may even get back into trout & salmon fishing that I did for many years, but gave it up about 10 years ago.
This is my weekly 'beach cottage' and occasional transport to destinations all around southern Lake Michigan; from Chicago to South Haven and all points in-between.

Me: Been boating forever Delaware river and bay, upper Chesapeake, NY to the Cape and islands then SF coastal area then FL west coast. Had everything Canoe, sail boats, multiple Power boats then ACMY , Currently in St. Pete, FL
Lived in the SF Bay area from 1978 to 2018. Had multiple boats mostly ski and fishing until we got a 45 ft Cruisers in 1999. Enjoyed it for 15 years on the Bay and in the Delta. Almost every year we watched the Blue Angels while floating in the Bay, Fireworks on 4th of July and then went out for about half of the America's Cup races. Also had a Malibu Ski boat, so our time in the Delta included skiing and wakeboarding. Sadly, both are gone now as we moved from SF area to Sacramento area 3 years ago. Could have kept the ski boat, but kids are out of the house so not much fun without them. It was the right time to get out of the Bay area and we are now contemplating our next move which will probably be our last.

Jay Powell here. Live on Kent Island, MD, keep boat in a marina behind our house. Had three boats, downsized to our current boat, which is a Sailfish 245DC. Needed to downsize as getting older was nor condusive with crawling around a cramped engine room in a 30' express cruiser. Fire Protection Engineer, had all sorts of jobs over my 40 year career. Working in the suburban DC area at the moment. Looking forward to not retiring in a few years, but definitely not working part time either.

Hogan introduced us to Boatered many many moons ago. Glad he did.
Still have 2 boats, a 62 Princess Flybridge and a 35 Seahunter CC.
We moved to Florida last year and enjoy the fun, sun and fishing in the Keys and South Florida for 7 1/2 months out of the year.
Living on the 62 in the summer in New Jersey and still enjoy our trips out east and weekends on our mooring in Lloyd Harbor.
Still working, but at a much reduced pace, that's why I pay my managers and VP's a good penny.
Love Florida living, much busier now than when I was living in NY.
