I can not find his number, but the captain's name is Howard Blackmore. As far as not being worried, I think you are either insane or overly confident. It is a lot of boat, weighs a lot more than your Formula and the diesels move you in the direction you want to go in, quickly. No delay with diesels - You will love them, but a lesson will help you love them sooner!!

Agree there is nothing to worry about but he has electronic shifters, so he needs to get used to the delay. He is also helm forward which means he can only see the starboard side of the boat (I can only see the port but I have a camera now). So those 2 items will take some getting used to.
 
Since MarineMax will hire a captain for the trip around, I will have him work with me on docking and give him a nice tip. I will try to find out who they hire in advance.

Good thing Feb is a short month...gets me a few days closer to getting her.
 
Jeff: She's a beauty. Hope she gives you and your family many years of fun and fond memories. I agree that you should hire a captain to help you acclimate to the boat. When I went from a 24' Chaparral single I/O to a 33' Cruisers twin inboard, the information, lessons, and practice I got under his watchful eye and directions gave me the confidence I needed to move up in size while handling a totally different propulsion system. Yes it does...but that might need to wait until I resolve my roofing situation (see other thread)

Can't say that I've ever seen a boat ship with shingles on the arch. Oh well! To each his own.

She's pretty Jeff. Best of luck. I think your swim platform is bigger than my boat.

So while making final arrangements for the Family Decision to be brought up to Marine Max on Monday...someone wants the boat. I expect an offer today. Hope they are ready to move fast!
