Hi Group,
I'm installing a 1800 watt inverter in my 2004 Pilot 34.
Unfortunately,the instructions that come with the inverter are not
very detailed. I've got the DC side pretty much figured out but I'm
not 100% sure about the AC side. The inverter is a Pro1800 by
Xantrex. I plan on removing the wire that connects the shorepower
breaker to the main bus as well as the generator breaker wire to the
main bus. These wires will be connected together and then joined to
a wire that leads to the inverter IN. After that I'll run another
wire from the inverter OUT back to the main bus.
The way I see it, if either the shorepower or generator are energized
the power will go into the IN of the inverter and then straight thru
to the bus via the inverters OUT. This should tell the inverter not
to do operate even if the inverters power button is depressed. If
there isn't any shorepower or generator power the inverter should
recognize that and power up.
What do you think? Does this sound reasonable to you?
