The price differential between a pure sine wave inverter and a modified sine wave is not significant. On boatfix.com, a Heart Freedom 20-12 + a Link2000 remote is $1252 and a PROSine 2.0 which includes a remote is $1214. (Note: for 3KW, the Freedom + remote is $1542 and the ProSine is $2143). The literature on both units is different so it is hard to compare them. I have read that some appliances will use more power from a modified sine wave and some will not work at all on a modified sine wave.
Are the pure sine way inverters "more efficient"? If so then I would not need as many batteries. Does this sound correct?
IF I need 3KW, then the $600 difference would pay for more batteries.
