Is it Spring yet?

Was down to SPBM sunday. One of my dockmates was also there. He spoke to the guys working. The G dock should be done in a week. Then they will do the service dock. Next is the D dock and that's all for now. The north marina isn't going to be repaired. They don't expect to need it. I don't think anyone whose boat got damaged paid a deposit after Sandy. I doubt that they are buying another boat either. I'm sure many people gave up boating after the storm. We will see what the place looks like by June.

Same here, busy with work also. How are the docks coming along down by you?

They have removed all of A dock and D dock, start to dismantle B dock now. The end of C dock has been removed as well.

An incredible amount of old pilings are piled up behind Sallie T's.

More snow and wind headed our way, this winter needs to get the hell out of here.

Has anyone ever told you, you have a ****ty attitude...

Sorry Leigh, I hate winter more and more each year. I can't wait to move to a warmer climate with low taxes.

I'm so ready to pull the cover and now we have a storm coming, this Stinks! I want to get the show on the road!

Try Venezuela, Hugo Chavez is dead and fuel is cheap! A winning combination.

Makes the ride to Bowline or Croton a bit on the long side.

Today was a good day! I stopped up at the boat this morning to pick up the Reg for the Jetski when I got there I found lots of activity at the yard! Seemed like a ton of guys building docks at record speed then I climb on my boat and find two guys changing my waste line and antifreeze. Looks like I may be don't ahead of schedule:) I may prep for bottom paint this weekend depending on the weather. If the weather breaks I will pull the cover and have some touch up work done then clean and launch. It's all up to the weather now. I never thought I would be this far along so early. I hope everyone else is having as much luck! It's seems much easier when you pay someone to do everything.

Almost forgot to top things off I sold the jetski thanks to Walshie. I have mixed feeling about this, I enjoyed it but really didn't use it much last year. Now that I'm no longer bound to the tides I can use the boat whenever I want but it was still fun to just zip around on.

Sounds like you'll beat me in this spring, Dave. I have not even thunk about taking my cover off. This weather sucks. Fuel prices are going to be record high and there's going to be loads of crap in the water...

Time to sell the boat and get an RV.

"Time to sell the boat and get an RV." If you keep saying this maybe someday you will believe it:) I'm not there yet sadly boating is in my blood and unless I get a transfusion I can't see getting out of boating anytime soon! I don't know how much I will get away from the dock this year but I will be there relaxing at the dock as soon as possible!

+1

Actually, if it was up to me, I'd be RV'ing, but the admiral would divorce me. It will take a couple of years working on her to convince her.

Yep, rented one many years ago for a two week trip and loved it. More places to go, weather is less of a factor and much cheaper to travel and to stay.

I understand the attraction but it just doesn't work for me. Unless you are traveling what do you do on the weekends sit in you RV in the driveway? I for one could never get enough time off to travel enough to enjoy it. This said my dream is to retire spend about a year traveling on a boat then sell and buy an RV spend another year traveling by land and them I would be broke so I will have to find a new hobby:)

Is it true that when you purchase a RV they remove 50% of your teeth so you fit in at the camp grounds?? I'm just askin as that is what I have heard.

If it is, then it would go just fine with the 50% of my brain they removed so that I would become addicted to boating...
