I want to pul the back of my cover only and install that part of the camper! Easier to board the boat. Other then that I might clean a little but still can't do anything else.

One good thing about your cover is you can clean and polish your hull without removing the cover. Time to get busy!

See you later. Will pass by your boat later.

Rocco, yes we will most definitely be "real boaters" again this year.....crap...last year we were not even in until June!! Not sure we will be doing many trips, if any, but anchoring, grilling, raft ups, overnighters and hanging at the dock will be the norm.

Dave, when I cut my shrink, I only cut off enough to expose what I want to wash/wax, the hull, bow and transom. I leave the cockpit shrink on and only put the canvas on at the very last minute before I reqest a pickup (it's at my house). The shrink does not go anywhere. It doesn't even move. And I've had it on like that for up to 3 weeks.

It was nice to see so many people at the yard yesterday starting to prep their boats. I will return this morning and continue working I think I will prep the bottom for paint today.

Anyone else thinking of pulling your covers? I would really like to uncover so I can get to work on the hull and once I uncover I can have the touch up work done as well.

Pulling the cover before St. Pattys day was never a good idea in my mind.

Winter isn't finished with us just yet.

When can you go into Haverstraw?

I wasn't planning to pull the cover this week I'm thinking maybe next week. I prepped the bottom for paint today. It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it.

LOL I found a way out of doing the waste lines and I'm happy to say they are done and the flooring is back in place.

Dave back to the waxing material. Which type of Rejex specifically do you use? Also what size container do you use?

Todd I replaced the waste lines it was time!

Allen I bought the Rejex in 16 oz bottles one bottle is more then enough I don't recall there being any options as to which product to use this said I just goggled it and there seems to be a bunch of products I don't recall which one it was maybe someone else can chime in. I know Robinsnest as well as several others including Rommer also use this in fact they are the ones that told me about it. The first time I saw it used was on Rommer's last boat and man did that boat shine when he was done!

Thanks. Will wait to hear from the others as well.

Allen,
I have a gallon of Rejex and Buff Magic. It was cheaper to just refill the jar each time. I store it at home.

Originally I was planning on the 55 gallon pump drum version, but decided not to.

Forgive me for my ignorance but when you guys relate to Buff Magic are you relating to the Polish or the buffing machine? When I google it there are results for a buff Magic buffing machine as well.
Also which kind of compounding pad are you using?
Thank you!
