It's a wrap

Yup - we're out, ready for shrink wrap. and contrats on your son's wedding! we had the privilege for our oldest in July . . . enjoy the day(s)!!

Finished winterizing this past weekend, next stops: Florida in 10 days for our son's wedding; Aruba for 17 days in Jan; and Ft Myers in February with boating friends!
I wish I had boating friends.. Come on down, Hogan; the weather's fine!

So is everyone else. Nothing decent stays on the market more than a couple of days it seems.

True. 2 houses across the street from me sold within days. The one next to me is still pending; a bent triplex mast is holding up the sale.

If people have the loot, I think waiting is a mistake. The pandemic and national politics as well as state politics taught many the advantages of being here in Florida. Throw in supply and demand and voila, we have the perfect storm for inflated housing prices. Will it ever abate down here? GOOD QUESTION!

I would run with Naples as well but it was over our head. But if you want property with a dock be ready for sticker shock.

That's happening everywhere! My two sons are looking, one in Maine and the other in Alaska...Everything it selling in days, over asking, waiving inspections...it's freaking crazy!!!

We're FL residents now and have been living on our trawler for the past 1.5 years (our house and power cat are still in MD). We aren't in a rush to buy a home in Florida as the market is nuts. The market has to calm down at some point, right? Besides, living on a boat at a nice marina in the Keys hasn't been a real hardship so far.

So true. If I had to do it again, Naples would be seriously considered.

Almost done waxing the boat, just some touch-up needed on bottom paint. Bought new fire extinguishers so that I am in compliance with the new regulations. Can't wait to see what fuel prices will be...
