It's been Found

As a diver I have always wanted to find "something" on a dive. But no way would I want to find this I would rather find a gold coin or a treasure chest lol.
 
This is pretty stupid to me.
I understand back in 1955 they couldn't find it, but when technology got better, why didn't they go back and try again.
Leaving something like this out there is dangerous.
Any smart terrorist could figure out how to detonate it!

I wonder if there are other nukes out there lying around under the water!

Dumb.
 
Should have hired Clive Cussler to find it. Didn't he find the Huntley in the same area??
 
A lot of people have looked for that bomb. Lucky they were the ones who found it, and in the way they did. I'm sure it was probably uncovered in a shifting bottom, but it's still a bit of an embarrassment.
 
I thought Cuba Gooding found that a long time ago....

Indeed. Googling "Hydrogen bomb savannah" doesn't even yield the linked story on page one.
 
My best find diving was a 45 pound CQR anchor almost new and 100 feet of chain hooked on the wreck of a barge in 10 feet of water.
sold it for $800 and paid for the fuel of a one week vacation.
 
It's a hoax I heard.
That bomb is probably 20 feet under the mud!
Still I think with today's technology this thing could be found.

Oh for crying out loud. My excuse is that I was high as a kite after surgery. Hook line and sinker.

The whole reading the bomb label should have caught it.
 
That thing might make a nice yard ornament for them. Good story behind it.
