The first four day weekend of the season and the weather is gonna be fantastic. Heading up in a few hours with the jet boat to provision for the weekend. Yep, I took off today - too nice to go to work.

Agreed Mike!

Stayed on the boat last night and spending the morning giving her a bath then taken a dink ride before stocking up on food for the weekend.

Might dink down to bowline to take a quick peek for obstructions.

Let us know what you find at Bowline. We'll have a spot ready for you when you get back from Kingston. Call on channel 69 to see where we are.

Decided to take the dink out before washing the boat. I meant to take a boat pole to try checking depths but forgot. Visually I don't see anything of concern in the channel I take in. One thing I did notice via the water color that the point of land that sticks into the channel from the south side appears to go north a bit more than I recall.

I'm GUESSING the 2 boats that got damaged may have been TOO far to the left when entering. For those less familiar with entering bowline you need keep left but not too far. Besides my waypoints I visually line up with the church steeple up on the hill when entering. Also follow that line till you are WELL into the pond, ie about 2/3's of the way in. Cutting over too soon will put you on the bricks.

Thanks for holding a spot Mike. Are you def. doing Bowline or is Croton possible? BTW - I see they are not doing the watch fire till midnight May 29th to Midnight May 30th. Seems strange to do it midweek.

THe boats that got hit were people that have been in there many times with no problems. AN investigation with a cooler adn pole is needed.

It's now 11:45AM, and you guys just talked me into leaving early, thanks!!

Mike; you are the man, a few week-ends ago when we were having lousy weather, you stated that you had it all nder control, and you lived up to your words.

Happy Boating!!

Rob

Any idea how far in they were when they hit?

Might help with the search. I can head back over with the dink later but to try and pole the whole entrance would be a PITA.

Actually going there in the next few hours would be best as low tide is at 1:17pm

Not sure. They said the entrance. I will find out when I hit the docks.

Word has it Butch went over on his jetski with a depthfinder and found the channel to be clear.

.....all this talk about hitting something with the bottom of the boat makes me think,,,,,,,How's BiLl?

Now Jim, that's a low blow! Only things I've "Hit" lately are the Dragstrip at Englishtown, about 6 carshows so far this year and about 5 trophies won. My wife is the only one who has hit anything, my Screaming Yellow 06 Mustang and my wood chipper! $700 to repaint...
I only stopped by to see how things are going on the Hudson, MISS it and you guys a lot! But the money I save on slip fee's I put a rebuilt engine in my RED 83 Mustang Convertible! But at 9-10 MPG I feel like I still own a boat! Guess I should remove my foot from the Carb!
Yes without a boat I can afford 2 toys. Had 4 at one time, sold one, gave away one. And I can take them out when the weather hits 50 in Jan!
You'all enjoy the summer, might just have to check in more often. Will there be a raft up this year?
