We just accepted the surveys on a 1979 40' Tollycraft so, except for giving the broker the check, the deal is done. This boat needs a bit of work to bring it up to our standards, but we're happy with our decision. It means a lot of hamburger for the next few years while we restore her (older gas engines, no electronics that work, old interior, strangely configured pumps, gate valves instead of ball valves, etc.) but with a little work we'll have our retirement boat in 5 or 6 years while still being able to do a little boating. Needless to say, we're more than a little pumped!
