Hi all,

Looking for information, We are going away the last week of july into aug.

We have reservations in LBI but are looking for something else. We were originally going to go to AC but Trumps is booked for that time frame.

So, is there any place near max 50 miles south from LBI that you might recommend for a first stop. We are 4 boats 8 adults and 8 kids 5-14 yo. must have pool beach access a plus. good dining preferred.

We're from LI and this is our 1st venture south, therefore we are rookies in the Jersey area.

A great place for family and kids would be Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood. They have clean facilities, a pool, pleanty of restaurants within walking distance and the ocean and boardwalk.

From LBI, it would take you about 3 hours by boat on the outside.....add another 3 hours if weather keeps you inside....I would guess it's about a 60 mile ride on the water.....

I would also suggest Commodore Bay Marina in Avalon. Nice facility - close to the beach. There are two pools belonging to the on-site condos (access for slipholders). Seaview Harbor Marina in Longport has a pool, beach access, and a decent restaurant.
