I have a 1990 Johnson GT-100 on a pontoon and I have some questions:
1. I need to paint the lower unit - is the dark grey color still available in spray cans from OMC?
2. The tilt/trim is not working. I can hear the relays clicking but there is no movement. Any direction on how to diagnose would be appreciated. If I can't fix it is it possible to manually tilt the motor - I can't get it to move now.
3. There is a small rod that runs from the throttle linkage (the one with the idle set screw) to a movable arm that is just under the flywheel. I think this has something to do with the idle (maybe spark advance?) and it has an adjustment also. It has a plastic fitting that goes up inside the arm under the flywheel and that is broken and won't stay. I hope this will be the answer to a poor idle problem. Where can I find a replacement.
