Jones Beach fireworks?

Not sure, but would not go anyway, it is a crazy place. Went a few years back and will never again. I think Bayshore is having one and will only need to go from Babylon a little east of the RM bridge. Easy open water.
I saw a couple of articles saying that the Town of Islip would be having a fireworks show at the Bay Shore Marina this year. I looked on the Grucci website and they show fireworks displays on the Great South Bay for Sunday 7/3 as well as the 4th. I'm not sure if that's a mistake or if there will really be shows both nights. Last year we anchored to the west of Davis Park and there was a nice show there.

According to Newsday & the news radio no fireworks at Jones Beach, not enough enforcement officers.

Yup, Heard the same thing during my 5:00AM CBS wakeup news.
They also stated it was because of many officers are retiring and not being replaced. I guess they won’t catch the guy ( person) who stole my tools out of my garage a couple weeks back.

Yes, that will teach us tea partiers to complain about paying the highest taxes in the nation! No fireworks for you ! cause you complained about taxes and we can't fatten up our rank and file and protect our jobs so then you must pay for this.... ha ha ha! Its always about the money.....
