Hi Carver owners I have just purchased a 455 Carver aft cabin, are there any hidden or little things I should know. Every boat is different? When I purchased my current boat 1985 Carver 3607 ( hope fully selling )this forum was a great help. I am going to install an inverter and deck wash. I was looking at the extended hydraulic swim platforms. I don't know if this is possible. Has any one had any experience with these projects?

Congrats on the new boat! I don't have any direct experience with that model. Adding and inverter is not really too tough. Keep in mind that most need to be out of the engine compartment and will need seriously heavy gauge wires from the battery bank.

Hydraulic swim platforms are AWESOME. My buddy has on on his SeaRay 420, although I understand they are a pricey add-on/option. I have no idea what would be involved in a retrofit, but it amazing what you can do with enough money...

If your looking at TNT hydraulic swim platform break out the wallet. They cost approx $25K which includes installation. I check into it for my Trojan 440 express 1 1/2 years ago. I have a stationary platform which came with the boat. After that price I like mine just the way it is.
